A good fit comes first.
A comfortable seal helps your earplugs do their job. Take a moment to check the fit before you ride.

Start with your supplied instructions.
This guide covers general fitting habits for reusable earplugs. Follow the instructions supplied with your pair for their specific fit and care.
Fit both ears in a quiet place, with your motorcycle parked.
Clean hands. Clean pair.
Wash and dry your hands. Check your earplugs for dirt or damage before fitting them. Hold the stem so you avoid touching the part that sits inside your ear.
Fit gently.
For reusable preformed plugs, gently pull the top of your ear up and back, then ease the plug into place as directed by its fitting instructions. Never force it.
If it hurts, stop and remove it carefully.
Comfort on both sides.
Check that both plugs feel secure and comfortable. Put your helmet on while stationary and check that it has not disturbed the fit.
A fit check does not measure noise reduction. Professional fit testing can assess the protection you receive.
Remove slowly.
Hold the stem and gently twist while slowly drawing the plug outward. Avoid pulling it out sharply.
Keep your pair ready.
Follow the cleaning instructions supplied with your pair, including any guidance for the filter. Store them clean and dry in their case, and inspect them before each use.
